I have reviewed several batches where the indexer is apparently unaware which names are surnames and which are given names. I have corrected them but is there a way for someone at headquarters to explain the difference when these completed batches hit that location?

They have a new option for Reviewers. If you go to help in the indexing tool window, and click on labs, it will tell you how to turn them on. When you do this you'll be able to give some feedback about the indexer once you "return" the batch for re-indexing. It has options to click that the indexer needs training in certain areas, etc. I am not sure if someone gets this info or if they do anything with it. One can hope though.

I dont know for sure myself but @Ksalers idea is an ok thing if its alot. I personally wouldnt submit it for reindexing if only a few of the names are switched. Sometimes the first few names of the officers are listed with 'First' then 'Last', then the rest of the privates are named 'Last' then 'First'. But if the list is like 80-100 maybe i would.

I hope people learn to be more careful, they just need to read the document a little better😕
