What is the child's surname on image 3 It looks like John but the first letter has a curve over it and a straight line through the J line. So it could be an F or a T or a J. I cannot find this letter in the styles section. It looks like a stick drawing of an umbrella.
Thank you for any help.

Try sharing your batch number again. The one you provided isn't working. It will have 4 digits or letters before the dash and then 3 after it xxxx-xxx. You can also find the link to your batch under help>share batch.
Based off your description of the letter, I have seen letter Js written like that in the UK, England, Gloucestershire records.

It's an F... Fohn. Here's a clearer picture of the name on the 1940 census (on the second page). https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HT-DZH3-BPG?i=15&cc=1443899&personaUrl=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3AMMQX-TV7

BTW, Collen. I love your description... a stick drawing of an umbrella. ☺️
