Difficulty in reading images attached to South African records

I am finding it impossible to read all images attached to South African records. THis problem has so far occurred with at least 100 references I have been checking. Some are records I accessed a few years ago, but did not have images for at the time, and some are records that are relatively new.

This is VERY disappointing as images I have downloaded in the past have been very clear.

It is not that they are faint - it seems rather that the image themselves are blurry and nothing I have tried helps clarify the resolution.
