This change was recently made to one of my ancestors & I am trying to figure out what was actually changed.

The child now shows separately as having two parents AND being the child of just the mother (father blank). Is that what was added? There is no reason given.

TIA!

    Scurryn I did that myself one time, and it was after I had added a couple of new sources. I cannot figure out how it happened, but I also ended up with a child of a correct set of parents, and the child also had the correct (and same) mother listed a second time, basically as the sole parent. Same ID for the mother in both places. I was told to edit the relationship of the sole parent and remove it. I was afraid the mother would be removed from both places since it was the same ID, but only the "single parent" instant was removed. I am still not sure how that happened.

    @Scurryn

    Tia

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

    Just in passing ...

    That is a VERY "Good" 'Question' ...

    I saw that yesterday, myself; and, was wondering the same thing ...

    Like you ...

    In my case, a "Parent-Child" Relationship, had recently (tat Day) been "Deleted", by another User/Patron ...

    And, also like you ...

    There was NO "Reason"; although, which DID NOT matter to me; as, I think that I know the reason ...

    But ...

    That Said ...

    The REAL Problem/Issue was, that ...

    I could NOT, "Restore", the "Parent-Child" Relationship, that has been "Deleted", by another User/Patron; which, previously, COULD be "Restored".

    [ I finished up having to "Create", a NEW "Parent-Child" Relationship; which, should NOT have been required. ]

    There has been a "Change"; and, that "Change' DOES NOT appear to be, for the better ...

    Lets hope, that the matter, IS passed onto, the Programmers/Engineers, for investigation ...

    just my thoughts.

    Brett

    ie. "Moderators" [ ie. 'FamilySearch' "Support" ( Personnel ) ] ...

    @PiperTWilson

    Piper

    It's 'Brett'.

    As, you have "Edited"(ie. "Removing" text/data), my 'Comment' ...

    So ...

    I gather, that, @FamilySearch Support; and, @FamilySearchSupport, are NOT operational (as yet) ...

    I did ask, previously (recently); but, as there was NO response, considered that they may now be operational.

    Hm ...

    Still NO way, to "Mention" either, (1) 'FamilySearch' "Support"; or, (2) more, importantly, "Moderators" ...

    [ ie. 'FamilySearch' "Support" ( Personnel ) ]

    Shame ...

    As an aside ...

    This Problem/Issue, NEEDS, to be FORWARDED, onto the Programmers/Engineers, for INVESTIGATION.

    [ Or, in the least, some "Clarification" ... ]

    Brett
