How to delete old messages

I apologize for taking your time with this question, but would someone direct me to the information page on how to delete old messages? I mark those with comments as Read, but I have over 200 old messages I would like to delete. I thought perhaps they would automatically be removed after a certain time period, but guess not.

Thank you,

Patricia Livingston

    @P Livingston

    FYI

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

    Just in passing ...

    That all depends, on whether, you are referring to:

    (1) "User Messaging", in 'FamilySearch';

    OR, ...

    (2) ("Private") 'Messaging', in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.

    As such ...

    In regards to "User Messaging", in 'FamilySearch' ...

    Pictorially ...

    Access your 'Messages" ...

    Select, that "Select" ...

    The Result will be ...

    Where, you can either, (1) Select ALL; or, (2) Select the "Messages" individually ...

    Once those that you want "Deleted" have been chosen, it is a matter of selecting that "Rubbish Bin" Icon.

    Whereas ...

    In regards to ("Private") 'Messaging', in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum ...

    Unfortunately ...

    There is NO ability/mechanism to be able to "Delete" such ("Private") 'Messages", in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum ...

    I hope, that this may help/assist, somewhat.
