Why can't the cursor be automatically positioned according to selected data on 'find by name'?

On the Find tab, when searching by name, if you select search criteria (such as "Marriage" in "search by event", or "Father" in "search by relationship"), you would expect the cursor to be positioned in the field for that information (for example, on the "place of marriage" field when "marriage" is selected), but it isn't. You have to first click on the field to position the cursor, then enter the data. It would be much better to position the cursor automatically based on the search criteria selected. Is this possible?

I agree there is an inconsistency between searching here and at https://www.familysearch.org/search/, where the cursor is positioned in the appropriate field.

Unfortunately, this seems to be a problem common to many other websites. I have being using one or two today (not connected to genealogy) where the cursor was sometimes positioned in the field selected, but elsewhere not.

I strongly support consistent behaviours so, although this seems a relatively minor convenience, believe it should be addressed by the engineers.
