Polish addresses in 1800's vs modern addresses
I have found birth records on several decades of ancestors in Poland, in a small village. The records show only the property number (119) for each birth. I understand that in the 1800's homes were not listed by a street name and number. Instead, the village used consecutive numbers for each home/property, and the numbers were not in any numerical order. Home/property #119 could be in the east part of the village while #120 could be in the west. I would like to use Google Earth to view the streets that my ancestors walked. How does one find a modern address that matches a numerical address from the 1860's? Are there any maps of comparable addresses? I would appreciate any help you can provide.
