Why is film #7621295 not digitized?

The film contains birth records for Johnson Co., IL in 2 volumes - Birth record v. 1 1878-1887 and Birth index v. 2 1887-1974. Is the reason they are not digitized because the birth index for v. 2 contains records up to 1974 and for privacy issues? If so, is there a way that Birth record v. 1 could be separated into its own digitized film?

All microfilm has now been digitized. The film reel icon now means that the records are not available online. In this case, probably because Vol 2 has such modern records that they are protected for privacy reasons.

FamilySearch has greatly tightened online record access enforcement since 2017, securely locking all of the back doors and removing access to many images. I think it was at least partly a response to the GDPR (the stringent European privacy law).

@Sue Neale_1, just wanted to add a short note of explanation. One can always determine if a film has been digitized by noticing if there is a DGS number. I see that they are calling it an "Image Group Number" with "DGS" below it, in the Catalog. As @Áine Ní Donnghaile said, above, all microfilm have been digitized; however, it's nice to be able to verify that by seeing the DGS numbers.

Somehow this film was visible online back in July 2017 because I was able to view and download an image from the film.

I didn't see the 2 replies (1 on Feb. 22 & 1 on Feb. 24) until today. I just happened to check my "Spam" folder in webmail and found both of these replies. Thank you for your responses.
