How to be able to open up indexing in Portugal

Hello, my wife and I are serving a our fourth mission together in Portugal. I have been in contact with the director of the Evora District Archives. I have come to understand the work funded by FamilySearch to digitize the outstanding records related to family history is coming to an end. My question is there anything we can to do help get these records indexed. I am starting to work on the directors family line and so am starting to go through the images specific to the times and areas that his family came from. Is there any way to be able to choose an Image to index in my efforts to work on his family records and actually index them online. For now, I guess I will have to transcribe the images and just type the results up on my laptop. If there is any helps for this as well as a way to share my results for a specific image please let me know.
