Rootstech 2022 feature - in one format and not other?
I am miffed by this.
"Relatives at Rootstech" feature.
Why only in smartphones and not desktops?
Do you realize there are those who do not have smartphones, only the desktops?
What about those who have vision issues pre-empting the use of smartphones for this?
Last year it was available for smartphones and desktops.
And additional issue, I had to register 4 times before I got "Relatives at Rootstech" despite the fact I clicked on for both email and mobile, over more than 1 month.

It's 'Brett'.
Last Year, at RootsTech 2021, I was using a my "Laptop" Computer, for the "Relatives at RootsTech" feature.
That "Laptop" Computer, worked just fine - we were travelling interstate (when our State Borders "Opened").
One DOES NOT need, a "Mobile" Device, for the "Relatives at RootsTech" feature, to work.
[ Although, I have one; which, also work just fine ... ]
I am certain, that such WILL be the same for RootsTech 2022.
Plus, I separately "Registered", for FOUR (x4) of us, on my "Laptop" Computer, a few weeks ago; and, such worked just fine.
Plus ...
I just tried ...
Are you related to your friends?

And, it worked just fine ...

ps: In 2021, I was using, the "Browsers" of, 'Google' "Chrome"; 'Mozilla' 'FireFore'; and, 'Microsoft' "Edge", ALL with the "Operating System" of "Windows 10"; and, all with the LATEST "Versions" of each.
pps: Plus, in 2021, there were THREE (x3) of us, at a time, using "Relatives at RootsTech" feature, with the THREE different "Browsers" - that also worked just fine - although, it was, a little "Crowded", at times.

@W D Samuelsen , thank you for your question. Relatives at RootsTech is available on the web here: https://www.familysearch.org/en/connect.
and on mobile devices. You can read more about the experience this year here: https://www.familysearch.org/en/blog/relatives-at-rootstech-2022.
Hope this helps.

The problem is that the link does not show up on desktop browser (Chrome) FamilySearch home page unlike last year. The only messages I see - telling me to SIGN UP or REGISTER. I already cleared caches and still no shows.

Aside from this problem, I would like to see a breakdown for USA portion. No way I can get past 300 when I have over 5,000 in USA alone to scroll through, being limited to closest 300 and no chance of getting to 6th cousin level I needed the most.
Last year it was staggering over 26,000+ by time last year rolled around.

You may have to sign in to FamilySearch again, @W D Samuelsen. I know I did.

It's 'Brett'.
Just in passing ...
Firstly ...
'Yes' ... You are CORRECT ...
Currently ...
There is, NO 'Link', to "Relatives at RootsTech" for 2022, on the 'Home'/'Landing' page/screen of 'FamilySearch'
ie. https://www.familysearch.org/en/connect/
But ...
That Said ...
Such DOES appear, in the following, recently 'Dated', "Knowledge Articles", of 'FamilySearch':
[ Article ID: 10559. Dated: 20 January 2021 ... ]
RootsTech and Relatives at RootsTech - FAQ
https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/relatives-at-rootstech-faq
Along with some other great information ...
Secondly ...
Plus ...
'Yes' ... again, you are correct ...
It CERTAINLY would be nice, NOT, to be LIMITED, to ONLY some x300 "Extended Relatives", at a time.
Even using the "Filters", such is very LIMITING (and, 'frustrating'); when, one has THOUSANDS of "Contacts".
[ Been there ... done that ... remember it well ... ]
I guess, that 'FamilySearch' DOES such; as, INCEASING the SIZE, of the LIMIT, would SIGNIFICANLY "Slow" the "System" DOWN, to a "Crawl", if ALL, were using "Relatives at RootsTech", at the SAME 'Time".
Just image ...
How MANY Users/Patrons, from ALL around the World, would be accessing the "System" (and, "Relatives at RootsTech"), at the SAME 'Time', during RootsTech (2022) ...
I would humbly suggest, that is the REASON, that a LIMIT needs to be, set/established; and. applied/enforced.
Just my thoughts.

There is ONE feature I would like to see - search by ancestor! Not the surnames of the "Relatives at Rootstech" ones.
What we are getting - the lines to closest ancestor, not other ancestors who may be on different lines. Ireally wanted to contact anyone with German ancestry (specifically, Brausch, Boden, Schwarz, Ackermann, Konter, Schutz, Berens, Gansemer, Dockendorf etc). Brausch, Dockendorf and Gansemer are very unique because they are traced to specific villages and no where else.

That's there, too, @W D Samuelsen

I am not referring to the closest ancestor which is always listed. I am referring to OTHER ancestors not searchable. The ones I want might be off those lines.

You can select the drop down arrow on Select Ancestor and see multiple ancestral lines. Right now I have up through 5th great grandparent ancestral lines shown.

Hello Amy, 8th cousin...
That is not what I am talking about. That feature you mentioned - shows common ancestors with others. It does not show any OTHER ancestors I am more interested in, which is other ancestors of the same cousins.
