why would I get this message (below) when the ancestor is my 3rd great grandmother

No Relationship Found You have no direct relationship to this person in Family Tree, or your common ancestor is beyond 15 generations.

    Either the system is just not working at the moment, due to a server glitch or something, or you have a broken link somewhere.

    To test things out, start with your parent that leads back to her and check View My Relationship, then your grandparent, etc, and see where things fall apart.

    If you check you parent's relationship to you and get the same message, then there must just be a system outage right now.

    probably a system glitch.

    But I assume that with your question you understand that the relationship between you and this person must be represented by actual links between you and this person.

    i. e. Does the system let you navigate your pedigree from YOUR record back to this ancestor generation by generation?
