Dear All,

I am searching for records regarding pre-1854 Komarno, however I do not seem to find any records. Pre-1854 records can be found in the county where Komarno is located, but not regarding the city of Komarno itself.

I would appreciate any help in locating such records on the site or confirmation if such is not avaiable.

Thank you for your help.

Best regards,

Laszlo

László, would you like me to ask on the Hungarian genealogy email list whether anyone knows anything about Komárom's Reformed registers? I remember looking for them fairly recently; was that for you, or someone else? I came upon the information that the town (though not the fort) was badly damaged during the revolution, so it's not impossible that the pre-1848 registers were destroyed or lost, but that still leaves six years unaccounted for.
