On UK, England, Diocese of Blackburn [Part E] [M3KH-7PV] should a double surname be used?

On #1194 there is a double surname with a word in between them--maybe "separately." Would the mother be by Morris and the father by Tyson? Would the child be Tyson Morris or only by the mother's name? Kind of confusing.

UK, England, Diocese of Blackburn—Church of England Parish Registers, 1813–2021 [Part E][M3KH-7PV]

Thanks, Elaine

The nice thing about this project is that no surnames should be indexed for any of the children. The example shows this form and the child's surname is blank. So, you can go through and delete every single child's surname on this batch.

On 1194 the parents are: Alice Morris and reputedly John Tyson. (Alice was a spinster).

Thank you! I have been reviewing wrong and REALLY appreciate being set straight on child's surnames. I thought I was keeping up on instructions but apparently not. So sorry and Thanks again.

You are welcome. We just need to remember that not every project is the same. There might be those where the child's surname would be indexed. This just isn't one of them. But, that is why we can't jump between projects, even from the same countries, and think the instructions will be the same. For instance the UK Lancanshire Noncomformist Instructions are completely different and outlined in the field helps.
