Why send me a hint to one of my Ancestor profiles when the only information in the profile is mine

@DebDT , I think @BrianHerman1 is referring to a Hint from one of FamilySearch's Campaigns and not a Hint from Family Tree.

I have merged the two profiles of Mary Anne Nightingale. The duplicate only contained a record of her one daughter Marianne. I have also removed her father from the profile, so it has been cleaned up. Thanks again for your input.

What was the hint that you received? When looking at Mary Anne Nightingale 28 June 1798 – 1865 KGZH-7RX, the only hint we see, is a possible duplicate. Is that hint a possibility for your ancestor. If they are the same, they need to be merged.
We are including directions if needed.

We found Mary Anne Nightingale listed as a child of your mother, Mary, in the 2nd box for your mother and no spouse. You might wish to remove the spouse with the question mark name, which will remove that box.
Click on the edit pencil in the marriage box, from Mary's detail page, click Remove next to the ? name, and give a reason, such as No information. and Remove Person.

Thanks for your comment. I will do as you suggest, but my question arose from the fact that Family Search gave me the impression that they had found something to add to the profile. This was not the case at all.

Thanks everyone.
Chas is correct in his comment. Mary Nightingale's mother was named Mary in her birth record but there is no father. When I received the Family Search email hinting that something new had been found, I went to the profile expecting something " NEW " This is a profile that I had researched off & on for some time. I will remove her mother Mary's spouse but that is all that I can do at this stage.
