The birth record I was indexing required choosing either male or female for the birth. One entry had twins born, one male and the other female. The system won't let me enter both genders, so how does one enter this information?

Usually there are 2 separate birth records, one for each child. If so, then you simply index the correct sex for the child whose record you see. In many cases, the other child's record would show up to be the next one. You can't enter both genders on the same record.

Hi Gregory. You create an entry for each child listed on the record - one for the male and another for the female. Sometimes the project instructions will say to create an entry for each twin or triplet, even if they are the same gender, other times the instructions may say to only create one record for same gender twins. But, with the boy and girl, two records will solve your problem!
