Sora Rosansky arrived in NY in 1907. She was going to her uncle, my great grandfather Benjamin Lifshitz. My great grandmother's maiden name was Rosansky. There are no other records for her. There is no marriage record, death record and she is not in any censuses. Where else can I look?

Start with what you know: Who are the family members for whom you do have records? Sora's children? Siblings? Where did she come from--if you know, you can search records there. Have you reviewed all the documents you do have? If you have access to images of them, have you reviewed them?

Have you reached out to cousins to ask about the family?

Keep searching. Answers will come. Good job to ask for help. We are here to support you.

I do not know anything about Sora except her aunt and uncle, my great grandparents, and she is not mentioned in any of their records. She comes from Belarus, there are no records from her home town. None of my (very few) relatives know anything about her.
