    @Woodward, Catherine Frances

    You should probably take care before cancelling your subscription, as I believe an LDS account does not necessarily cover the access to Ancestry records and services that your current subscription provides for you.

    Thank you. I will contact Ancestry about this prior to cancelling. Thank you

    Quite frankly, I use both Ancestry and FamilySearch hand in hand when I research. FamilySearch may have the biggest database in the world, but much of it cannot be viewed from home. There are many collections and books which can be viewed on Ancestry but not FamilySearch. And I have found new collections added to Ancestry that are not yet in FamilySearch.

    Ancestry lets me have access to Newspaperdotcom and fold3. Newspapersdotcom has broken several brick walls for me. Fold3 has some very interesting ( but somewhat disorganized for me) collections of declassified material from WW II that are not very many other places. Also Revolutionary War docs are there.

    I maintain my family's ancestors in both the FamilySearch world tree and multiple trees I have in Ancestry. I manage 13 sets of DNA in Ancestry to and harnessing the DNA tools in Ancestry is quite valuable. I have made good connections in both Ancestry and FamilySearch. I would never cancel my Ancestry account. I would likely curtail my eating habits before I cancel my Ancestry subscription.
