I need information on my grandfather, Paul Alexander Amoury

I am trying to find anything about my grandfather, Paul Alexander Amoury. I understand he was born in Syria or Turkey in 1877, lived in France for awhile and then migrated to the Bahamas. He married my grandmother, Rowena Knowles in 1901 in the Bahamas and then moved to Key West, FL. He died in 1908 at the age of 31. We cannot find a death certificate anywhere. Please help.

We don't know if he died in Florida, Virginia or elsewhere. Florida has no record of his death and I am still waiting to hear from Virginia Vital Statistics. I appreciate any help. Thank you.
