I searched this list and don't see Canada Naturalization records. Any idea why they are not included?
This article from the Bac-Lac may help.
Records up to 1917 were later destroyed.
But the Archives has records hence why I asked. LAC: Naturalization lists, 1915 to 1951
Sorry - but what is the issue? Not every record will be on all websites.
It's that Family Search doesn't have Naturalization lists from LAC -- Library and Archives Canada) at all surprises me.
Perhaps you could explain more why you are surprised. As Áine Ni Donnghaile said, not every record will be on all websites. Perhaps you have read somewhere that FamilySearch has these records?
Surprised because FamilySearch does have a vast collection and would think they would be one of them. No place else said FamilySearch had them.
FS likely doesn't have these records exactly because LAC does.
just because FamilySearch's collection is indeed VAST
doesnt mean that the entity/organization that created and /or maintains a given set of records is willing to give up access and storage of such items to FamilySearch. They could very well and very intentionally not allow FS access to such records because they want to retain control and access.
Research Wiki is a great site to discuss what is available and where based on geographic area.
Sorry Dennis, disagee. Library an Archives material is already on FamilySearch. Not wishing to continue.
Glad you found it. :-)
I was just pointing out as was others - that not everything is in FamilySearch due to contractual limitations.
