FHC not on the map

The Edmonton Riverbend FHC center shows it was discontinued on 10/10/2021 and why it's not on the map. That will happen if somebody sends in a FHC Closure form signed by facilities and Stake leadership. I am not sure why but a FHC create/relocate form would need to be submitted to reopen it.

Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]
[ And, I have been a Staff Member, of Family History Centres", of the Church, for many Years ... ]
Just in passing ...
In relation, to your (Local), "Family History Centre", of the Church ...
Question(s):
▬ Is such, a newly "Created" "Family History Centre"?
[ IF, it is; THEN, such may take 'Time', to appear in the various "Systems" (And, of course, in 'FamilySearch' ... ]
▬ Is such, recorded in "Church Directory of Organistations and Leaders" (CDOL)?
[ IF, not; THEN, such is possibly one of the REASONS, that it DOES NOT appear in 'FamilySearch' ... ]
Make certain that you check in CDOL ...
▬ Is such, a "Computer" ONLY, "Family History Centre" (in a Ward/Branch, of the Church)
[ ie. Rather than a NORMAL "Family History Centre" ... ]
Just my thoughts.
I know, that this may not help/assist; but, I hope, that this may provide you with, some additional, insight; and, perspective; plus, an avenue to pursue.

In my experience, the FHC/Affiliate Library Map is often out of date and missing information. The local AL that I visit is not on the map despite me telling FS this more than 2 years ago. Most if not all the other branches of the public library network that this library is part of are on the map, but this one library seems to have been forgotten.

Same, @A van Helsdingen The FHC in the town where I used to live has been closed for more than 12 years, but it is still on the map. Yes, I've reported several times.

Please let me know what FHC's and I'll fix them.

@VirginiaC can you give @P Jeffrey the details of your FHC.
@P Jeffrey the FHC in the town where I previously lived is Muskegon, Michigan. It's been closed since at least 2010. https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Muskegon_Michigan_Family_History_Center
Thanks!

Thanks. To answer the original question, FS hasn't removed any FHC's or AFL due to covid closure nor will we as it would be to hard to manage. I'll check with local leadership to see if it's supposed to be closed since it shows active currently. If it is supposed to be closed I'll remove it.

Local leadership verified it has been closed since 2010. We discontinued it in CDOL and it will be removed from Find a FHC within 48hrs.

Thanks, @P Jeffrey. I found out it was closed because there was a notice in the local newspaper, at the time it closed. That was early days of affiliate libraries, and the local public library became an affiliate because the FHC closed. Back then, being an affiliate just meant that was where we could order microfilm. How times have changed!

@P Jeffrey our center is the Edmonton Riverbend FHC in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Do you need our center number? It would be good to have it in the map. The only other one in our area shut down 3 years ago. Some people might not know we are here.
Thank you!
