Marriage records in Hungary
Why is it when I type in the main person then his spouse and an approximate or exact date and place of marriage all it brings up is birth information?

Search - Records cannot possibly turn up marriage or death records, because they have not been indexed.
In the church registers of places that are in current-day Hungary, only pre-1895 Roman Catholic and Reformed baptisms/christenings have been indexed. Other denominations and other events can only be found by browsing through images.

Note that the situation is similar in Slovakia: the indexing extends to all of the denominations, and the covered time spans sometimes extend into the 20th century, but the only events that have been indexed are births and baptisms (or events that were misread by clueless indexers as baptisms).

Aine, no I did not - believe it or not I didn't know about that feature! It isn't just one person in particular. I am going thru my Legacy program and going thru each individual and see what I have missing or what I am stuck on and then trying to search for info - thank you for your help!
