    Hello,

    All ideas older than 2020 have been archived.

    @PiperWilson

    Piper

    It's 'Brett'

    I suspected as much ...

    That, is really SAD, to 'hear' ...

    And, "Disappointing" ...

    [ Obviously, an administrative move, possibly to "Save" space/room ... ]

    Because ...

    It used to be really good, to be able to, ACCESS; and, often, "Reference", ALL; or, at least, as MANY, of the PREVIOUS "Suggested Enhancements" (ie. "Ideas"), that one could find, in CURRENT posts.

    As such, actually "Showed" the situation/history.

    [ I hope, that such can be "Changed" ... ]

    Just my thoughts.

    Brett

    @PiperWilson

    Piper

    I has never 'heard' of; nor, 'seen', such ...

    IF, they have been "Archived" ( ie. "Ideas Archive" ); THEN, ...

    Question: Can they STILL be "Accessed"!!!???

    BECAUSE ...

    I CANNOT ...

    Permission Problem

    You don't have permission to do that.

    Hence ...

    My, sadness; and, disappointment ...

    Brett

    ps: Hopefully, just TOO early in proceedings; or, just a simple 'Oversight' ...

    .

    @Brett . and all - I apologize for any confusion I may have caused. The oldest ideas have been archived and are no longer visible to the community.

    I know this is not the answer you were looking for. :(

    Thank you, Piper, for responding. It IS appreciated! BUT . . ...

    I'd guess the question now is: Why bother to even Suggest an Idea?

    If they are simply going to an archive (whoops, is that now deletion?) without even a response from anyone in FamilySearch. Were any of the ideas implemented, under consideration, denied, even read?

    When will the remaining group topics be archived?

    It appears that this Community has now been reduced to "users" 'helping' other "users" - which is, of course, a GOOD thing & thanks to all the moderators for their able assistance.

    But how does any 'lowly' users ever garner the attention of the 'powers that be' to correct any major problems within such as: the "new" search system; the near eternal GEDCOM duplicate causing problem; etc etc??

    @Mark McLemore

    I'm sure many Community members would be grateful for a report on the background to this exercise.

    On the face of it, it appears to have been a complete waste of time and effort importing all those "Legacy" items from the GetSatisfaction forum, only to retire them after a relatively brief period.

    I know their inclusion sometimes caused problems - with members adding a current problem to an old thread that was not really relevant to their issue. However, as @CaptBob suggests, many (of these pre-2020 items) deal with issues that are as relevant now as they were then - highlighting the fact that FamilySearch has still to resolve issues that have existed for several years.

    I can understand the feeling that "Suggest An Idea" had become unwieldy, with such a large number of items, but can also see how many Community participants will feel this is a disappointing loss of useful comments, which are as relevant now as when they were first posted.
