Why Does a Record Show as a Hint, When it Looks to be Attached Already?

Ex. G86M-YWK Mary Margaret Bryan. "North Carolina Death, 1906-1930" (her daughter, Emma's state death record) as of today shows as a hint. When I click to review it, I see "Detach" which to me means the record is already attached.

This is not an isolated incident.

That record is attached to Margaret Bryant, MMVR-9JJ.

If you hover your mouse over the "Detach" button, you will see a link to the other profile. Then you can review both profiles and decide if the record should be detached, if the other profile is a duplicate, or if some other issue exists.

I think the reason it's showing up as a hint despite already being attached is that the connected index entries (the husband and daughter) are attached to Mary Margaret's husband and daughter, so the system is guessing -- likely correctly -- that the Margaret it's attached to (who has no husband or daughter) is actually the same person as Mary Margaret.

If you agree with that assessment, you can kill two birds with one stone by simply merging Mary Margaret and Margaret.
