How do I sign out of familysearch on my computer so that someone else can log in.
I am trying to help someone get their free account with MyHeritage.com. I try to sign out of familysearch so that their information can be entered. When their information is entered it is rejected and my information reappears. I have tried the forgot user name route. When I answer the question I am told the answers are invalid. I know the answers are correct. I was able to get the free Ancestry.com account to work without any problems. Can you give step by step instructions so that I can get this problem solved. To log out of FamilySearch,
Click on your name in the upper right of the FamilySearch Screen and
Click on "Sign Out"

@RickLPearson - If you still have trouble after following the above suggestion by itself, you could also clear your cache after you log out and then try again.

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Just in passing ...
Further; and, in addition, to what has already been proffered ...
Two (x2) things ...
(1) Make sure, that as well as "Signing Out" of 'FamilySearch', that you "Sign Out" of ANY Other programme.
.... [ eg. In this case "MyHeritage_com" ]
More often than not, when one is working on single Computer, "Signing Out" of ONE programme, DOES NOT automatically, sign one out of another programme.
In the "Family History Centres", of the Church, when one goes, to "Sign Into" another programme, the programme, is often STILL "Signed In", with the "Log In", of the LAST User/Patron, who recently used/accessed, that programme; as, the User/Patron NEVER (officially) "Logged Out", when they finished - happens frequently.
(2) Use a DIFFERENT "Browsers"
On the SAME Computer ...
You can have, different Users/Patrons, ALL "Logged In", at the SAME time, when using DIFFERENT "Browsers".
eg. I have had up to THREE (x3), different Users/Patrons, ALL "Logged In", at the SAME time, on x1 Computer
▬ Myself: 'Google' "Chrome"; and,
▬ My Wife: 'Mozilla" "FireFox"; and,
▬ One of my Children: 'Microsoft' "Edge".
All using 'FamilySearch'; and, OTHER Programmes (eg. "Ancestry_com"; "FindMyPast_com"; &, "MyHeritage_com"), at the SAME time.
And, I have done exactly, what you were in the process of doing.
Just my thoughts.
