search records not working

I have noticed for the last few days that the search records function seems not to be working - I just get a blank page displayed rather than the usual option to enter a name with a place and date of birth. I wondered if this was a general problem or just me ?

@DavidMoss0 - This is the first report I recall about this. That does not mean the issue is more widespread, though.

The first thing I suggest is logging out, clearing your cache, and trying again. Also, please make sure your browser is up to date.

Let us know how it goes.

@DavidMoss0 - I see that problem regularly. I had it yesterday afternoon, and I've had it again this morning.

On each occasion, I clear my cache, refresh, and the results page appears as normal.

    Windows 10, Firefox 95.0.2.

    hi thanks for the advice.

I have tried clearing the cache and different browsers but 'search records' and now 'find' are still not working. I am having to temporarily use an old pc with windows vista so perhaps this is the issue -

but these functions were working up to yesterday for 'find' and 'records search' worked up to a week ago.

@DavidMoss0 - Would you be willing to take screenshots and send them to me privately? I don't think you'll be able to post your images in the thread, but you can try that. I may not be able to help, but I'll see if I can find anything useful.

    Cheers!

Since @DavidMoss0 has now mentioned that he is using Vista, that is likely the problem. There are threads in this forum, dating back 2 and 3 years - Vista was already unsupported at that time.

    thanks for the replies -

I think the problem does indeed apply to 'vista'

Now I have a laptop again with windows 10 'family search'

seems to work fine. regards, David
