What is the process needed to remove the locks? Can you do it on this request?

You should be able to see the images at a FHC or Affiliate Library.

The restrictions/"lock" is due to a contract between FamilySearch and the record owner. Both parties need to agree to relax or remove the restrictions.

If these records are online somewhere else behind a paywall or the material is sold as a book, then the record owners have obvious financial reasons for not wanting their records to be unlocked.
