Enlistment and re-enlistment dates

On this muster roll it lists "joined" and date and "rejoined" and a date on different individuals. Does "joined" and "rejoined" refer to an enlistment date or should I put the date at the top of the muster roll?

Hi Janet. For the record, as you know from the answer to another version of this question, the “joined” and “re-joined” dates are relative to a particular military unit, and not to the whole military service (enlisted and re-enlisted dates). They are not equivalent. So, the muster roll or roster date would be used for service people with only “joined” or “re-joined” dates next to their names.
