United States—Enlisted and Officer Muster Rolls and Rosters, 1916–1939 [Part N][M3JN-LQ6]

  1. Fluharty, Raymond R

Does the "jd 8th" mean he joined this particular unit or is it referring to his enlistment date? Should I use Mar 8, 1939 as the date by his name or Mar 31, 1939 (the date of the roster roll)?

After taking a look, In this case i would use the date at the top of the muster roll, mar 31 1939. unless a date is listed exactly as an enlistment date, then the roster roll date at the top counts for all names.
