I'm indexing burial records from England and can't read the age, it's not a number. How do I index this.

Could it be an age in latin?

Have a look at the "Numbers" section of this page: https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Latin_Genealogical_Word_List

The question is on the 2nd to the last one, the age.

You would mark that field blank. (Ctrl+ B for Windows). It may be an abbreviation for the word infant, which cannot be indexed, since it's a word and not a number. We would not assume that an infant was a young baby; we let the researchers use their own judgement.
