Hi I was about to Review a batch and saw that they indexed it as births when the form heading says deaths. Do I;

  1. Not review it and leave it as is?
  2. Shall I index it under deaths?
  3. Or send you my question for a feedback?

    You can either send it back for reindexing or index it as deaths. It is up to you. But, is this one of those projects where they used the same form and sometimes crossed out the word death on previous and subsequent images?

    You should probably share your batch to get the best answer. The batch code that is used for sharing is the set of numbers/letters in brackets after the project title. For better instructions on batch sharing, click on the third icon from the right on the toolbar.

    Thank you Melissa S Himes and LarryClark43 for your replies. The Batch information which is in question is :-

    Samoa-Vital Records 1846-1996[MSGD-25R] Due 21 Jan 2022 and I have decided to leave it and not review or change it from Births to Deaths as it says on the form.

    Thanks again.

    @Matautia Arouma (Leota) Thank you for sharing your batch. Did you find that there are references images showing these as births too? (We can no longer view reference images on shared batches which is detrimental!) The film for this batch is also unaccessible through an image search.

    If you don't feel comfortable reviewing it, you can send the batch back by opening the batch, clicking on batch, and then return batch. Or you can manage your batches on the My Batches screen by clicking on the Manage tab and then the box beside the batch. Then another reviewer can make the decision.

    I believe you have the choice of returning the batch for reindexing or making the correction. If I am not mistaken as soon as you change the type from birth to death all of the information will be deleted and you will be starting over.

    Thank you Melissa S Himes..I will try and send it back for them to re-review and decide the best solution. I just worry about these names in case we enter it in the wrong category making it harder for their families to find them and do their sacred Temple work.
