Changing copyright protection so book can be viewed on Family Search

My ggguncle wrote a book that contains genealogy information that new generations of our family would like to access. He died 101 years ago and wrote the book in 1912 so it has been out of copyright for decades. I’m a lawyer familiar with copyright law. How do I change the "can't be viewed - copyright" information on his books so that it can be accessed on Family Search? This is a one of a kind book with limited copies and allowing online access to this information is a good practice, and is one that the library says is its normal procedure.

Are there reasons why we wouldn't want this to be accessed online?

Thanks for the information. I also wrote the FS copyright office. No one has an accurate tree on this Travis family and there is a lot of misinformation in the trees out there. I am adding the information in the book to my tree as I obtain the information, which benefits others also. No doubt that maintaining and operating the FH library in accordance with our copyright laws is a monumental task. However, it is unfortunate that a family history book so obviously out of copyright that was written for the family to read and be informed of their legacy is mislabeled. I do not think that accords with the express wishes of the author or the purpose for which the book was written.

I am not connected with FamilySearch

If the book is in the Family Search Digital Library, you could write directly to the FS Digital Library, link within

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/family-history-library/digital-library

If the book is only listed in the FS Catalog, my understanding is that nothing can be altered until the new Catalog is introduced (expected in 2022, sometime), so the general reply seen on other queries seems to be "Come back when the new catalog is in place".

The URL you have posted above seems strange/suspect. Is it correct?

Mod Note: The URL was removed from the post since it did appear to be not safe.
