    Hi. I just found out that there is a big issue in the indexing process that enables an indexer to register the name or last name in an Italian record, using the " fu " word that means " the late..." as the father of the person, as if the person's name has a " fu " in it. So if you search records that have " fu " in the " name " or "last name " fields, you will get thousands of records wrongly indexed.

    I can't seem to be able to add any record to any person. I'm familiar with doing this but I don't get the usual record page - there is a lot of gibberish added in (see photo). I've recently cleared my cookies to see if it would help as I've had trouble opening records too. Let me know if you have a clue about what to do next. Thanks. T Burt

    @Terry Burt

    Terry

    Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

    Just in passing ...

    This is a Newly created 'Post', that has been "Moved", to the 'Category' of "indexing", in this Forum.

    It would appear, that your 'Comment', relates, to the "Family Tree" Part, of 'FamilySearch', rather than the "Indexing" Part, of 'FamilySearch'.

    Question: Does your 'Comment', relates to, the "Family Tree" Part; or, the "Indexing" Part, of 'FamilySearch'?

    Pleas advise.

    That would enable use to be advise.

    Terry

    Ah ...

    Now, your "Image" appears, after finally passing, "Image Moderation".

    So ...

    That Said ...

    That answers, my initial 'Question' ... "Family Tree" Part, of 'FamilySearch'.

    Next 'Question': Is that a "Census" from the "United States of America" (eg. Possibly, the 1900 one)?

    That, you are trying to attach ...

    Please advise.

    Brett

    @Terry Burt

    Try a different browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Microsoft Edge) and see if the problem persists. If trying a different browser works, then go back to your preferred browser and really clean it up (clear all cookies and cache). Here is a link that should help you do this (whether you try the second browser or not, you can try this).
