Event day
I index and review a lot and like to use the keyboard rather than the mouse. I find that the auto prompt for event day does not like to store single digit days. I use the Return key a lot to advance to the next field and sometimes find that the date gets changed to a double digit date when I type a "1" or "2" or "3" but this is not a problem with other single digits. I have to keep reminding myself to use the Tab key to advance to next field after I type in a number for the event day.
Is there any chance this could be changed in future updates?

Hi Mary. I'm very interested in understanding your problem. But I can't replicate it yet. What are your autocomplete settings, what entry mode are you using, and would you please share a batch on which you have this issue? I'll check back later today.
I keep autocomplete off all the time. I'm sure that it's helpful on certain types of projects, especially for indexing. But I find it a hindrance, especially when reviewing.

Hi Mary
Try clearing cache and cookies on a wild stab in the dark and see if that helps.

Hi Mary,
Thank you for your willingness to index and review these precious records; we understand it is inconvenient when keystrokes do not work properly,
Please try deleting your cookies within FamilySearch by opening another tab and going to familysearch.org/cookies. Here you will be prompted to clear just your cookies within the FamilySearch system.
Check to be sure your browser is up to date. If that does not solve your problem, you can try going to another browser to see if that helps. Sometimes temporatily changing browsers will help.
Then, as John has correctly said, your next step will be to clear cashe and cookies from your browser.
Anytime you experience a problem, having the project name and batch number where you are having an issue or have questions, will allow others to see and possibly replicate your issue so that they can help. i.e. United States—Enlisted and Officer Muster Rolls and Rosters, 1916–1939 [Part N][M3JC-8Z8]
I hope this helps and your issue is solved.

Mary - does the system try to give you the last 2-digit number you built starting with 1, 2 or 3? If so, it might be doing its job if autocomplete is turned on for the Day field.
If Autocomplete is turned on for every field I can understand why only the digits 1, 2, and 3 would behave like you described for the Day field - they are used to build the days 10-19, 20-29,and 30-31 respectively. Maybe if you turn on autocomplete only for the “Project Defaults, you’ll be rid of the problem. I can’t imagine that it’s a great idea to have that Day field autocomplete be the default for a project. When I tested it for one of mine, I turned it on just for the project defaults and didn’t experience the issue. I’ll exercise that option a bit more by building some 2-digit days and see if your problem arises. It could be a “feature” of autocomplete and not a bug.
It would be nice to be able to pick and choose what fields one wants to autocomplete beyond all, none or project defaults - maybe have options like when choosing to hide certain fields.

ACTUAL Behavior of the Autocomplete vs. the Autocomplete SETTINGS
Hi @Mary Louise Lillian and @LindaCP
I've checked the behavior of the three possible Autocomplete settings from Batch>Settings>Autocomplete. The three available settings are (a) Keep project defaults, (b) Turn ON for all fields (c) Turn OFF for all fields.
I compared the actual vs. advertised autocomplete settings batches from three of my projects for the following conclusions, but I suspect they apply more widely, maybe to every project. Here are the three projects I sampled:
United States—Enlisted and Officer Muster Rolls and Rosters, 1916–1939
US, Missouri—County Marriages, 1806–1969 [Part O]
US, New York, Erie—Index to Land Records, Grantors, 1630–1975 [Part A]
Below in tabular form are the behaviors I observed (admittedly based on a small sample).
You can see that the Project Default is to have the Event Day autocomplete OFF, so you (@Mary Louise Lillian) can enter one-digit numbers and hit Enter to progress (as you prefer) if you choose "Keep project defaults" instead of "Turn ON for all fields." An interesting result is that even if you choose OFF for all fields, the system keeps it ON for the Event Month. Autocomplete is always ON for the Event Month field.
So, autocomplete is not misbehaving in the Day field - it is misbehaving in the Month field. Or maybe it's a case of a Dropdown menu overriding Autocomplete settings. But nice to know.

Thank you! I have now set for project defaults. Since I am mostly reviewing, this issue only comes up when the indexer did not complete the event day fields. I will try indexing a batch soon.
