Help to view a protected book
I'm not sure how to write this question, but I'm looking for a way to view a book that I want to look in, because it mentions one of my relatives, but that is "protected".
The book I'm talking about is called "An autobiography of Peter Olsen Hansen 1819-1895: Mormon convert and pioneer missionary, translator of Book of Mormon into Danish". It has title number 514958.
I have interest in viewing the book because I'm looking into the life and work of this relative of mine, and I believe that the way he is described in this book can give me a more fulfilling picture of him.
Can anyone either help me to view the book or guide me how I can get to view it?

the Library has a lookup service. Here’s the link: https://www.familysearch.org/en/blog/new-library-lookup-service-for-when-you-cant-visit-the-family-history-library

There are usually alternative ways of finding such a book online, but (as suggested at the first of the "results"), copyright issues appear to be precluding it from being available in this way. It doesn't appear that you can purchase it, either.

According to Worldcat.org, the FHL in Salt Lake is the only location with a copy. The Lookup Service is your best option.

The only problem (with your otherwise good advice) will lie in whether the book has an index. Otherwise, it might be a long process in finding the pages that reference Hans' relative. Providing him with copies of these pages (or a summary / transcript) might also prove to be very time-consuming for the person involved in the look-up.

It's an easy matter to request a check for an index when the OP submits a request to the Lookup Service. Nothing ventured; nothing gained. Free to ask!
I was not the first in the thread to make the suggestion. Have a wonderful day.
