Problem with Family Search Wiki Tree

A few years ago, I added a short version of my family tree to Family Search. This included my maternal grandparents and their children.

My grandfather Lawrence Samuel PARDEY KK12-4GN was born 1882

My grandmother Minnie Jane ROLF MJ65-3ZQ was born 1879

They were married in 1906. Their eldest child was born 1907

In December 2021 I noticed that someone had added two additional children to my grandparents in 2018. :

James PARDEY GMV6-WRK born 1887

William PARDEY GMV6-4Y6 born 1889

Both have been flagged by the Family Search system as possible errors.

I have sent messages to the other user requesting that they delete the incorrect information. They have not done so or replied to my messages. They may not have seen my messages.

Would it be possible for someone at Family Search to correct these errors?

You can remove the relationships. Why don't you do it? I would also contact the person who added them and let her know you believe it is an error.

Hi. The basic instructions for detaching an incorrect family member are in this article. https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-correct-parent-child-relationships-in-family-tree

@Gail S Watson - I am unable to see how to delete the relationship. With respect, I did say in my original post that I had contacted the other user but they have not yet responded.

@Peter Spencer Link works for me, but if you would like me to detach, I'll be happy to do it for you. Only takes a minute.

BTW my paternal grandmother's mother was born in Cobh, County Cork.

Happy to do it Peter. I'm about 60% Irish on the latest composition. I'm verified 50%, as all my father's side are relatively recent Irish immigrants, starting 1850. I have Louth, Mayo, Tyrone, and Westmeath ancestors.

I am assuming that you live in the USA. My great grandmother married a Greek in Cobh. They moved to Cardiff, Wales where my paternal grandmother was born. She married a Welshman.

Yes, born in the US to US-born parents. Maternal line has been here since before it was the US, with multiple ancestors who fought in the American Revolution. Paternal line all Irish. One great grandmother born Tyrone; one great grandfather born Westmeath. All the rest were 2nd greats who arrived in the 1850s.

If you can't access the link given above, you may need to make sure you are logged into FamilySearch. Generally, the help should work either way, but sometimes it seems to "get lost" and needs you to login.
