Help Sharing a Batch when you don't have someone to share it with

I'm currently indexing Co Donegal Church records 1740-1913. I've come across a batch from 1793 in Latin. Several baptism entries make no sense and do not follow the written formula of the other entries. I hesitate to return this batch as I received it marked by the previous indexer as "No Extractable Data", when in fact there is plenty of data.

How do you join a community of indexers who share to help each other? Is there a group of indexers dedicated to Irish records?

Thanks to ANYONE who can help. I do the best I can with the hope that the person indexing my ancestors has the same mindset.

    Hi Barbara Tierney,

Please share your batch code, the group of letters and numbers at the end of the project title, by copying the code and pasting it here with your question.

I am pretty sure that there are those here that will have experience with similar batches that will be able to give you some help.

Sorry I do not have that experience and do not know Latin. Please be patient, some one will read this and offer some advice.

Merry Christmas and thank you for your work.

Thanks for the tag, Larry. He has given you great advice, @Barbara Tierney. If you hold onto the batch and share the batch code, someone will be around to have a look and see if they can help. This is the place to find the great community of indexers you are seeking.

    Melissa.

    Hi Barbara Tierney

You might want to post your question again. Because you marked that you accepted my answer others might think that you received the help you needed when you actually didn't. I did look at your batch. It looked pretty scary to me. I was impressed that you could actually read it.

I would probably have returned the batch for reindexing. Since you have begun (and it looks like you are doing a good job), I would start a new thread with the Title of the project, the batch code, and ask for fellow indexers to help out on specific records you are having trouble with.

Being it is a holiday week, you may not have quite as many people available.

Good luck! If you decide to continue, it will be reviewed at least one more time with your work!
