Far too complicated
When I first used this site, possibly 15 years ago it was a joy to use. Now it is totally impossible. I think you (website) have got too big for your boots. Waste of my time.

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
And, one who has been using "Family Tree" (and, the OTHER "Parts") of 'FamilySearch'; and, its predecessors (eg. "New.FamilySearch"; and, even long before that ...), for even much longer than you ...
Just my thoughts ...
'Yes', a LOT has "Changed" ...
And, "Change", CAN; and, often, is DIFFICULT ...
But ...
That Said ...
"Family Tree" (and, the OTHER "Parts") of 'FamilySearch', is NOT impossible to use - it just takes practice.
And, more IMPORTANTLY, "Family Tree" (and, the OTHER "Parts") of 'FamilySearch', is certainly NOT a wate of time.
MANY; Many; many, Users/Patrons have problems/issues, with the various "Changes", in 'FamilySearch'.
And ...
IF, you are specifically, currently, referring to the "Change" to, the NEW "Search" Records page/screen; and, the resulting "Results" page/screen; THEN, ...
You are not alone ...
We are ALL "Struggling"; and, NEED "Help", with, the NEW "Search" Records page/screen; and, the resulting "Results" page/screen, which is certainly NOT very 'User Friendly'.
MOST Users/Patrons, want, the NEW "Search" Records page/screen; and, the resulting "Results" page/screen, to be "Reverted" BACK, to the PREVIOUS version.
But ...
That Said ...
SADLY, I doubt that will happen ...
As such ...
Please advise, exactly what you are referring to; so that, we may be able to possibly help/assist you.
We really would like to help/assist you.

Thanks, Brett. I appreciate a thoughtful reply. I will only add that I said it was a waste of 'my' time and only I can be a judge of that, and I stick with what I said. Considering many people researching family will be fairly ancient (like me), the split screens, jumbled information etc is hopeless. All the best to everyone struggling but I shall have to take my brain (small as it is) elsewhere! DJ.

I completely agree with the OP. The site has changed for the worst. I too have been using it for many, many years, but now the format is so confusing and brings up results that have no bearing whatsoever on the search criteria. I've tried to use it many times, but gave up in the end.
Why on earth did it have to change? There was nothing wrong with the old format!😡

That Said ...
You may like to ADD, your thoughts/comments, in those particular posts; so that, your thoughts/comments, like those of MANY other UNHAPPY Users/Patrons, ARE 'seen', by the Team, in 'FamilySearch', that 'Designed'; and, 'Developed" the NEW look "Search".
As you can 'see' from those posts ...
DESPITE, all the NEGATIVE 'Feedback', with regard to the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", from those that matter, the 'lowly' User/Patrons, where the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", was 'foisted' upon them; BEFORE, being "Fully" released to ALL User/Patrons - 'FamilySearch' RELEASED the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", to ALL Users/Patrons.
As I already suggested ...
You are not alone ...
