Why have the Pedigree Charts changed?

Just a few weeks ago the top left hand corner of the pedigree chart had:

This is pedigree chart no. _________

Name no. 1 on this chart is the same as

name no. ______ on chart no. ________

Now it has:

This is pedigree chart no. _________

No. 1 on this chart also found on:

Chart ______ Position _______

This isn't a huge issue except when it got change someone forgot to allow input of three digit numbers for the reference chart. This needs to be changed as it is easy to get into the hundreds of charts when doing all the ancestors of a single person.

Thank you for your comment in the Community about the printing of the Pedigree Chart from the Person page of the individual, and you do not like that change to the upper left corner wording. We suggest you give Feedback to FamilySearch about this. They may change it back.

Steps (website)

1. Scroll to the bottom of the screen, and click Feedback. (This link is not visible on the Family Tree view or Memories Gallery.)
2. Click Go to Discussion Board.
3. Click FamilySearch Help.
4. Find and click Suggest an idea.
5. Enter your topic in the search box at the top. If you find a post similar to your question or suggestion, click to open and add a comment.
6. To submit a new question or suggestion, click New Idea.
7. Give the idea a title and then enter your questions or suggestion in the main box. To help others find your idea, add tags. Click Save.

Or you might wish to use the "Suggest and Idea" section of Community to the right on this page to make your comment

Since the pedigree charts you have mentioned are created in the Family Tree program, I am moving this discussion to the Family Tree Category where others who might be interested in your comments can read the posts that are provided.

When you go to the FamilySearch Help page through the link at the top of the Community page after signing into your Community account, you will see a full list of categories on the left side of the screen. You will also find an icon which represents the 11-categories in the center of the screen.

Thank you for sharing your concern. We hope that the information about sharing your concern through the Discussion Board is helpful. In addition, if your concern is just about not being able to type 3-digits in the Chart blank at the top of the Pedigree Chart you are planning to print, did you consider writing the correct chart number manually after printing the chart? That might be a solution for now until your concern can be considered for a future enhancement.
