Systematic user's manual & example
Would love to have access to a systematic "User's Manual." I occasionally see get emails with good articles about how to accomplish something on Family Search. But there does not seem to be a systemized, searchable repository of instructions or solutions.
Example: When adding a new child, the "to whom is this person related" page only allows the identification of one parent. (Suggestion: allow the identification of both parents.) Then the listing will show the 2 parents with some of their children, followed by a listing of the father with an unknown spouse and the new child. Surely there is a way to fix the listing, but I can't find one. We can't merge the wife with the unknown spouse. It does no good to add the wife's name through the add a spouse route. And I have tried other hacks to no avail.
(The invitation to this page just popped up in the middle of my work on "tasks." There was no explanation of what it was, or how to use it, or how I could find it again, or how I might get an answer. I do not know if I have filled it out properly. I do not know if I should be adding some kind of ID or return address. I do not have any idea what the "Show popular tags" space below is about. And I am not a beginning user, I have added hundreds of people to Family Search. I do not see anything like a "send" button, so I guess I just hit "Save" - whatever that does. At the bottom of the page It says "FEEDBACK COOKIE PREFERENCES" in blue -- certainly do not know what that means or if I should be doing something with that.)
