It doesn't say "Death place" but rather "Event place". The event is the registration of the death, which took place in Amsterdam, even though the death was elsewhere. In most cases, the death is registered in the municipality where it took place, but this is obviously an exception. It is somewhat confusing, I'll agree, that the place is of the death registration, while the date is of the death itself.

The name of this field is (as far as I can see) “Place of death”. At least that is indicated when editing this field. So yes, it is a bit confusing.
