Welcome to this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Just in passing ...
You are not alone ...
MANY; Many; many, of us "Long Time" User/Patrons, would LOVE, to be part, of the "User Acceptance" regime "Testing", of the many Parts of 'FamilySearch'; and, have asked and offered our services, to be part of such.
Just my thoughts.
Good Luck.

As an aside, I find the first two points made via the facebook link, provided by Daniel, to be quite interesting:
- We understand how important it is to build your tree. However, due to privacy and legal concerns, please don't ask for help locating living people.
- Due to FamilySearch and Family History Center policies, we cannot look up documents that are only available from Family History Centers or LDS account.
There are often questions raised in Community about both these issues. In the first case, advice has been provided here on how to find specific living, family members. In the second, members have referred others to the Look-up service, relating to getting details of restricted material content.
Are we to understand these types of response should not be provided here in future - in view of them possibly breaching privacy rules (1), or contractual obligations (2)?

As, I DO NOT be use, the likes of "Social Media" websites (ie. "FaceBook"), for this type of activity ...
Question:
Is the "FaceBook' 'Group', to which 'Daniel' refers, an "Official" such "Social Media" website, that was, CREATED; and, MAINTAINED, and, SANCTIONED, by 'FamilySearch' (ie. the Church)?
The reason, that I ask, is as far as I am aware, there is/are "Official" such "Social Media" website(s) [including: 'FaceBook' "Group(s)' ], that were/are, CREATED; and, MAINTAINED, and, SANCTIONED, by 'FamilySearch' (ie. the Church).
IF, the "FaceBook' 'Group', to which 'Daniel' refers, is NOT an "Official' such "Social Media" website, CREATED; and, MAINTAINED, and, SANCTIONED, by 'FamilySearch' (ie. the Church); THEN, that is WHY, that particular "FaceBook" 'Group', provides those, first two points.
As such ...
Thus ...
IF, such is the case, that the "FaceBook' 'Group', to which 'Daniel' refers, is NOT an "Official'' such "Social Media" website, CREATED; and, MAINTAINED, and, SANCTIONED, by 'FamilySearch' (ie. the Church); THEN, I, would humbly think; and, venture suggest, the latter part of what you raise, may be moot.
Just my thoughts.
[ Depending on the circumstance/situation ... ]

ps: I once had my, former, local Priesthood Leader, in the Church, tell me about, a "Social Media" website, on "REDDIT" pertaining to 'FamilySearch', to which that leader suggested, that I may wish to consider participating in, to "Help Out"; due to my experience; but, when I examined, that particular "Social Media" website, I noticed, that such was NOT, one that was CREATED; and, MAINTAINED, and, SANCTIONED, by 'FamilySearch' (ie. the Church); and, was especially concerned with some of the "Content" posted; therefore, I 'passed' on the suggestion (giving my reason for such).

You say:
"Is the "FaceBook' 'Group', to which 'Daniel' refers, an "Official" such "Social Media" website, that was, CREATED; and, MAINTAINED, and, SANCTIONED, by 'FamilySearch' (ie. the Church)?
Good point. Maybe (as someone who doesn't use mainstream social media, either - e.g. facebook & twitter) I got it wrong in thinking this group had direct connections to the Church. Perhaps Daniel will confirm its status.
Nevertheless, I do worry about the first point, whereby a person occasionally comes here to ask for help in finding a long-lost friend or relative. I don't think such help should be provided on this platform: after all, the other person might have spent years (for perfectly valid reasons) in trying to avoid the enquirer and could be caused much grief by being contacted by them again!
On the second point - perhaps not so concerning: only for the Church if the body applying the restrictive access becomes aware of individuals getting hold of these details by "back-door" means and is not at all happy!

Just my thoughts ...
In all the posts, in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, that I can ever recall, since I started participating a number of Years ago; whenever, a User/Patron enquired about trying to, "Find" and/or, even, "Contact", supposed/suspected STILL "Living" People (ie. long-lost friend or relative, NOT being a User/Patron), then, that User/Patron, was IMMEDIATELY advised, that this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum was NOT the place for such.
Although. in many cases, various Users/Patrons, gave suggestions, on how the User/Patron submitting the matter MAY be able to achieve such "Contact", through various OTHER means.
And, some of those OTHER means, appeared to be quite constructive and helpful.
Whereas, in a number of posts, in this Forum, that we are BOTH fully aware, regarding trying to make contact with ("Living") Users/Patrons, "Contact" was ESTABLISHED through this Forum; and, some of those posts/matters, have since got out of hand.
Just my thoughts.
