This is feedback about the changes in your search screens
I have used familysearch.org for many years and have always found it to be user friendly, quick and easy. The new format is bulky, slower (example: requires more input and doesn't filter by dates and information entered) and difficult to use. Most of us who do genealogy prefer simplicity of format, not having to use a number of screens to try to enter information, at this point I frequently have to refresh in order to get pages to load and the search remains broad even when I specify exact information. Please fix this, the older search screens were better than what you have upgraded. Thank You for reading my feedback. I'm sure others feel the same way. BT

Indeed, many of us have general or specific issues regarding these changes. However, I have not found my searches usually return broad results if I have specified a time period and/or place. As long as "exact" is checked, the filters are properly applied and you make one type of search at a time (i.e., don't try to find a birth, death and census record for an individual all in one go) it should not be too difficult to get results that do mainly relate to the object of your search.
There are many FamilySearch users who come to this forum who would be only too pleased to test specific examples of problems being encountered - I'm sure the engineers would like to test these, too!
Please post actual examples - they don't have to directly relate to searches involving your family members, if you would prefer the actual names to remain private. For example, any problem you are having in finding a record for your "John Brown" in the 1920 census for New York should be of the same nature as if he was a "William Turner". (Likewise for a 1920 birth or death.)
On the broader issues, I am definitely in agreement: FamilySearch has certainly not made it easier or "more comfortable" for us to use its (revised) Search function.

This is just a small problem with your new search page, but it could be troublesome to many. The Problem: Your world map which we can click onto to select what country we wish to find free records, disappears whenever I click on the "More options" tab on your main records search page.
I discovered whenever I click on the "more options tab", the work page drops down and covers over your world map. At first, I searched all over for the map but could not find it, little did I know, it was behind that drop down search tab. When I finally clicked on the less options, bingo, the map reappeared.
I suggest this little problem be remedied to avoid this issue.
Thank You

Very disappointed in your new format! I cannot find anything quickly any more…☹️
The advanced search drop down doesn’t save/offer a search.. so when I go out it deletes all my info and I have to start again.
The date fields give a range option and then don’t allow a search of the range.

FYI
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
You are not alone ...
And, just in case you, were not aware ...
Here are some FOUR (x4) posts, in date (and, post) order of being posted, from someone, stating, to be part of the 'FamilySearch' Team that, 'Designed'; and, 'Developed", the the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", which appears, in some of the posts, to give some "Instruction", on HOW to use the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records".

FamilySearch Employee Responding to Search Page Feedback
I hope, that some of the information in these posts, may offer some help/assistance.
And ...
There are OTHER posts throughout this Forum, where the instigator of the above posts has responded with, advice; direction; instruction; help/assistance, on the NEW "Results" page/screen, of "Records Search" ('FamilySearch').
Now ...
That Said ...
You may like to ADD, your thoughts/comments, in those particular posts; so that, your thoughts/comments, like those of MANY other UNHAPPY Users/Patrons, ARE 'seen', by the Team, in 'FamilySearch', that 'Designed'; and, 'Developed" the NEW look "Search".
As you can 'see' from those posts ...
DESPITE, all the NEGATIVE 'Feedback', with regard to the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", from those that matter, the 'lowly' User/Patrons, where the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", was 'foisted' upon them; BEFORE, being "Fully" released to ALL User/Patrons - 'FamilySearch' RELEASED the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", to ALL Users/Patrons.
As I already suggested ...
You are not alone ...
We are ALL "Struggling"; and, NEED "Help", with the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records", which is NOT very 'User Friendly'.
MOST Users/Patrons want the NEW "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records" to be "Reverted" BACK to the PREVIOUS "Results" page/screen, for "Search Records".
But ...
That Said ...
SADLY, I doubt that will happen ...
I know that this DOES NOT help/assist; but, I hope that this gives you some additional, insight; and, perspective.
