How to enter 2 given names?
There are 2 indexed entries available for a person. In the 1st one the given name is available in Latin ("Paulus"), in the 2nd one it is available in Hungerian ("Pál"). I want to merge these 2 entries for my pedigree by entering both given names in the resulting entry. Is this possible and if so, how?

Since I can 100% guarantee that the person never in his entire life actually answered to "Paulus", I would enter Pál in the Vitals box. I would enter Paulus as an alternate name under Other Information. (In this case, it's not absolutely necessary, because FamilySearch's hinting and searching algorithms know Latin pretty well, at least where it comes to common given names like Paul, but I can sympathize with the "completionist urge".)
I would do the same thing even for a less-common or less-obvious name translation, such as Polish Wojciech for Adalbert: I'd use whatever the person was likely actually called in the Vitals box, and I'd enter the translation as an alternate name under Other.

(Side note re: choosing Hungarian as the name's language -- keep in mind that this will flip the order of elements around. Confusingly, the fields will still be labeled "First Name" and "Last Name", but "Last Name" will be on the left, and the name will display with the surname preceding the given name. It can be quite obvious which names have been looked at in the last year or two, and which haven't, because there'll be a lone sibling with surname first amid the rest with surname last, for example https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/LTZB-8WQ. [I've edited Vilmos recently enough for his name to be marked as Hungarian, but all of his siblings were entered long before this was an option.] It's especially confusing when you don't know any of the siblings and the surname is an unmarked patronymic. And even without that excuse, the way the fields switch places, I've entered names wrong way 'round more than once.)

Thank you for posting your question in the Community. If we understand correctly you would like to add a variant name for the same person.
You can add multiple versions of a person's name in Family Tree. Generally, our recommendation is that you enter the person's birth name or complete legal name in the Vitals section. Then add all of the variations in the Other Information field. Here's how to add married names, nicknames, aliases (AKA names), and other variations.
In the Other Information field, you can add as many alternate names as needed and identify the type of name. In most languages, the options are "Also Known As," Birth Name, Married Name, and Nickname. If you are using Family Tree in Chinese, the options are Also Known As, Taboo Name (諱), Art Name (號), and Courtesy Name (字).
When you add a name, you have to fill up the form that tells you where the first and last name would be written. In the Other Information Filed you can write the name in the Hungarian way.
The way you enter a name can affect whether you can do temple work for the person. If you enter a name incorrectly, the person's ordinances show as "Needs more information."
Steps (website)
- In the Family Tree on FamilySearch.org, display the person page you want to enhance.
- If the Details section does not show, click Details.
- On the Details view, if the Other Information box is closed, click the triangle next to the box's name.
- In the Other Information section, click Add Information.
- Click Alternate name.
- Click to select the type of alternate name and language.
- Enter the name.
- Enter a reason statement to explain how you know the information is correct.
- Click Save.
