"Upper" abbreviated last letter on names

I am transcribing male first name "Theoph" with a small elevated "e" at the end as Theophe and a female first name of "Joseph" with a small elevated "e" at the end as Josephe - is this correct?
Thank you...

Those are abbreviated names and you are correct to type what you see. If the gender is not on the image, we don't assume male and female from given names. But, if it says Theophe, son of ... then of course you can index male.
It is always best to share your batch code to get the most accurate answers. The batch code is the series of letters/numbers in brackets following the project title at the top of your screen. [XXXX-XXX]

Thanks for the tip regarding the batch code. Yes, I knew they were abbreviations but at least 75% of the names were abbreviated so I wanted to make sure! This was a list of grooms and their brides but the indexing did not require male/female entry. Thanks again...
