Spurious attachment of historical records
I am seeing this sometimes. An historical record appears to be attached where it does not belong, but apparently is not attached. Here the spurious attachment is to Peder Olaus Jacobsen. Screenshot is from https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MHCJ-5BQ

More weirdness. Other PIDs load but Arthur Henry Crandall does not:

Your case will be forwarded to a specialty team for review and resolution. You may be contacted by that team if they need additional information.

@dontiknowyou, I don't understand what error you're trying to point at in that screenshot and link: Arthur Crandall's 1870 census record is not attached to anyone in Family Tree. Where do you see Peder Olaus Jacobsen's name?
(There are dozens, possibly hundreds, of profiles with that name in Family Tree, so it's impossible to check from the other end.)

@Julia Szent-Györgyi here I highlight the spurious link.
I keep seeing these and trying to detach the obviously bad attachment, only to find there is no attachment. Or is there? Aargh!!!!

Oh. That's really weird. If I follow the link, all of the similar records are attached to Arthur Henry Crandall, with no sign of Peder Olaus Jacobsen:
Is the "phantom" always in the Similar Records, or is it sometimes on the record itself? (If it's always one of the similar records, then I would be highly unlikely to notice -- SRs are rare in my "neck of the woods", so I'm accustomed to ignoring the whole section. That's probably why I utterly failed to figure out what your screenshot was trying to tell me.)

Good question. I have seen this spurious attachment bug with records themselves "attached" to random PIDs. But more often I see it under Similar Records, which in my case are numerous.

Problem is still there. It can be seen on the Family Search historical record: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MHCJ-5BQ

Have you tried clearing your cache lately? I ask because if I follow that link, the three Similar Records are all attached to Arthur Henry Crandall (LZZ3-VDX), while the record itself (for the 1870 census) is not yet attached to anyone.

Julia, it looks like the engineers did something today during the 6 hours between my post and yours. I now also see correct links, no more Peder.

Er, no. I see the correct link in Firefox but still see the bogus link in Safari. This despite clearing all history in Safari.

Safari still shows the bogus Peder link, even in a private window.
