Why doesn't the data form remember surnames.

In the data form for baptisms in the Philippines, Camarines Sur, Caceres—Registros Parroquiales, 1716–1977 [Parte B] project, the form does not remember surnames in the father's surname field. It does, however, remember them in the mother's surname field.

Why?

Hi Jerry. I’m not sure if this will help, but under the drop down menu Batch>Settings you will see the panel below where you can try selecting the option “Turn ON for all fields.” It could be a glitch that is deeper than this will resolve, but give it a try. Sorry for the large size, but I don’t see the resizing icons on my iPad.

I'll look at that but it's probably not the reason. If it were, the autocomplete would not work in the mother's surname field. I suspect it's in the trigger code for the father's surname field.

Probably. But while you’re messing with that panel, also try turning Autocomplete OFF, hit Apply. And then turning it ON again.

Hmmm. The default was "Use Project Rules". That was selected. I changed it to "Autocorrect All Fields" and it now works for _Everything_. Wonder why project rules had it not working for father's surname.

I don't know. Try turning it back to Project Rules to see if it's fixed. If not, then they failed to set up that Field properly for Autocorrect, and you'll have to leave "all fields" selected.
