no year on original

I am indexing a page of nonconformist baptisms in Lancashire but the original image does not show the year. I have found the same image in the Ancestry records which show the date as 1790. Should I include the year as reported in Ancestry or leave it blank?

You should leave the year as blank if it isn't on the image. We can look at outside sources to verify information that is on the image. However, we do not index any information from the outside source. We also should not take another indexers "word" for the spelling of a name, unless it is what we can see for ourselves on the image. There are mistakes that get multiplied by using Ancestry and FamilySearch previously indexed records!
