Level req's?
Hey guys,
I got a notification yesterday and it said 'Congratulations! You've been promoted to Level 2.' And now by my name are two little stars. Does anyone know exactly what i did to get these? I see some of you have 3-4-5 stars so do any of you know how these levels work and what they mean?
Thank you :)

There is definitely a direct correlation between points and stars: up to 50 points is one star, 51 to 100 points is two stars, 101 to 500 points is three stars, and above 500 points is four stars. I'm basing this on a quick trawl through profiles:
002 1
044 1
052 2
086 2
108 3
404 3
504 4
994 4
As to how points are awarded, I got nuttin'.

The more you participate, the more bling you get?
It doesn't do anything, beyond possibly make me look more authoritative. Or something.

you have 4 stars and you have tons of badges, comments, etc. Do you know roughly when you hit your milestones in stars?

No, I'm sorry, but like Paul W, I'm rather underwhelmed by the whole badges-and-stars thing, so I haven't kept track of how stars and points and whatnot correspond. It says I attained level 4 on Oct. 2, but that's as far back as I can get, and I can't look up how many points or other stuff I had then. And there are no dates attached to badges.

I got promoted to Level 4 today but I don't know what the trigger was. If it means anything to anyone, no one has told me. I found this discussion while searching for some explanation.

I know of, one Participant, in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, who is a 'powerhouse' HELPER, who has:
FIVE (x5) "Stars";
x1187 "Points"; and,
x923 "Likes".

ps: Many of us, have a long way to go, to be such a great HELPER ...
