I am currently indexing a marriage record where the father of the bride is deceased (dec written after name). Do i put this as a suffix, record it with the surname or something else? Thanks

    Hi Sharon,

Thank you for your question. In this project there is no opportunity for the information "deceased " to be indexed. - See the 'What to index in this project - marriage' image.

I understand that it is difficult to leave information unindexed! But the researcher should be able to see the original image and so will see that information themselves.

Thank you for indexing. This is such a vital work to make our records readily available.
