Direct lineage through father auto-filled then diasappeared.
After returning to my tree after some months I found that (presumably) the system had attached direct desendents on my fathers side - back to the 11th century. they included Hereward the Wake and family at Bourne Castle (Lincolnshire). When I returned to the family Search site a third time . . . these links had disappeared. I see now that history is 'lost' after the early 1500's. Seems Hereward was a bit of a problem son so I don't know whether to be pleased . . . or not. Steve Bourne
